Daniel Nkechinyere is a highly motivated and experienced public health and development professional with over 15 years of progressive expertise in health systems strengthening, program management, community development, monitoring and evaluation, and advocacy within Nigeria’s development sector. With a solid academic background in computer engineering and social work, she brings a unique cross-disciplinary perspective to project design, implementation, monitoring, digital health solutions, and managing health interventions.
Nkechinyere has led and supported diverse donor-funded programs, including Global Fund TB/HIV; Emergency Advocacy, Communication & Social Mobilization For COVID-19 Vaccination; COVID-19 Vitamin A Supplement Emergency Response Project in 23 LGAs of Rivers state; Rivers Surge grant; World Bank malaria initiatives, and community systems strengthening efforts across various regions of Nigeria. Her leadership roles at organizations such as the Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH); Civil Society for Eradication of Tuberculosis in Nigeria (TB Network); Civil Society in Malaria Control, Immunization and Nutrition (ACOMIN); and Dawn of Life Foundation have involved driving large-scale community health projects, managing multisectoral teams, and coordinating with government and civil society stakeholders to ensure impactful service delivery.
Her competencies include strategic technical oversight, risk management, integrated supportive supervision, stakeholder advocacy, and evidence-based programming. Specific areas of development activities are Tuberculosis interventions, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Nutrition, Leprosy, COVID-19, Livelihood support, and WASH. She is a certified professional in University of Washington project management in Global Health, monitoring and evaluation in Global Health, leadership and management in health, and Policy and Advocacy. She continues to build her capacity through reputable platforms like the Global Health Center, Institute for Development Research, and many others. She has a certificate for African Leadership and Management Training for Impact in Malaria Eradication (ALAMIME) Cohort 3.
